Wine workshops and walks
Join us in our on-site tasting dome for an informal wine workshop tasting session hosted by wine experts Olly Smith & Susy Atkins. Our presenters will take you on a thirty minute journey through the senses with lively and fun tips to help you discover what tickles your taste buds and dispel any fears around what to look for when tasting wine.
Our 30 minute wine walks are chance to get up close and personal with our wine presenters Olly and Susy. Limited to ten people per session, you’ll be guided around the festival visiting five different winery stalls trying a wine at each. The hosts will talk you through the wines and offer helpful hints and advice. There will be five wine walks on Saturday and four walks on Sunday.
Olly Smith
Olly brings a lively and humorous approach to wine tasting, and has been a leading authority on the wine scene for many years. He is wine editor for the Mail on Sunday’s EVENT Magazine and a well known TV personality. A regular on on BBC1′s Saturday Kitchen, he is also presenter of The Secret Supper Club (Channel 4) and Iron Chef UK (Channel 4). Other TV credits include BBC Breakfast (BBC1), The Wright Stuff (C5), Everyday Gourmets (BBC2) and Hairy Bikers: Hairy Dieters. Olly has written two books ‘Wine: Both Barrels’ and ‘Eat & Drink: Good Food that’s Great to Drink With’ and contributes to a spread of publications and much, much more! Susy Atkins
Award-winning writer and presenter Susy’s fun and relaxed approach, together with incredible expertise immediately demystifies the art of wine tasting. She writes a regular weekly column for the Sunday Telegraph’s Stella magazine and is also wine editor of delicious magazine. Susy is familiar to many wine and food lovers as a regular wine expert and presenter on Saturday Kitchen (BBC1), as well as being the author of ten modern down-to-earth books about drinks. Buying tickets for Wine Workshops & Talks
Click on the drop down box below and select first the day you wish to attend and then the session. You will be taken to Google checkout to complete your purchase. Please note that tickets are NOT sent for your booked sessions, please either print off your Google checkout purchase receipt which has your unique booking reference number on it or retain a copy of your booking on an electronic device (phone, tablet etc) and bring it with you to your tasting session. A copy of all bookings will also be kept on the reception desk by the entrance to the tasting dome.
